I’m here today to talk to you about our new show, the VR Developer Direct, airing at 9am PT on June 10 on YouTube and TikTok Live.
VR Developer Direct is a little different from what’s come before; three studios going in-depth on three of the most exciting VR games coming up in 2025. Rather than fast-fire trailers and reveals, we’ll be spending more time with each studio, giving extended looks at what they’re working on. You’ll learn more about one of Flat2VR’s biggest projects coming this year in Roboquest VR, as well as two other top secret projects from two other developers set to be announced soon.
(Note: a previous version of this post suggested the two new titles were also from Flat2VR. That’s not the case, they’re from two separate studios – apologies for the mix up!)
We’ve taken inspiration from developer-centric shows like the Annapurna Interactive Showcase and the Xbox Developer Direct to bring you an event where the people that make the games get to speak for themselves. I won’t be in the studio revealing new games and trailers but, instead, we’ve gone on-location and online with some of VR’s finest developers to learn more about their latest titles and give you a glimpse behind the curtain of how these games are made.
Yes, you’ll see plenty of new gameplay, but we’re also excited to talk directly with developers about how they’re raising the bar for the next wave of VR titles.
It’s an exciting experiment, and one we hope you’ll join us for. Building VRGS over the past year has been nothing short of a dream come true for the team and we can’t thank you enough for your support. We’ll continue to bring you the best of VR in new ways.
